Options in elder care appeals to a variety of personal sensibilities. Some prefer community while others want to stay home. Some many fear dying alone. Other want solitude. Some have the hope that they will get better while others would rather be comfortable. Long Term care communities and home health services serve unique purposes. In the same way, both alternative and traditional therapies speak to the desires of the elder an d their preferences. These matters tend to be polarizing, especially among family. Those approaching the later stages in life do themselves and those around them a tremendous service by explicitly articulating their wished before it is too late.
